EuSide provides support for the management of side-effects during GLP-1 RAs therapy: promotes gastrointestinal health & antinausea effects.

EuSide is a food supplement based on a specific combination of Ginger (Zingiber officinale), Magnesium, Vitamin B6, Vitamin B3 (Niacin), Inulin and phytosomal Coenzyme Q10.

EuSide has been developed to offer targeted nutritional support to people undergoing therapy with GLP-1 receptor agonist drugs (GLP-1 RAs), contributing to normal energy metabolism, to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to physiological gastrointestinal wellbeing. It is available in sachets; it is recommended to take one sachet a day dissolved in a glass of water before the main meal.

Scientific Background

GLP-1 receptor agonist drugs (GLP-1 RA) are widely used in the management of type 2 diabetes and of overweight/obesity. Their clinical efficacy is well documented [1], but their use is frequently associated with gastrointestinal adverse events, such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea or constipation, which represent the most common cause of treatment discontinuation (60-65% at 2 years) [2]. These disorders are accountable, among other things, to the delayed gastric emptying induced by this class of drugs.
Alongside gastrointestinal effects, the literature has devoted growing attention to the possible impact of reduced food intake on nutritional status, including the risk of a reduction in lean mass during the weight loss induced by GLP-1 RA [3], with consequent tiredness and the need for an adequate intake of micronutrients involved in energy metabolism.
In this context, targeted nutritional supplementation, which does not interfere with the pharmacological treatment established by the specialist, can represent a useful nutritional support to accompany the patient during therapy, contributing to normal energy metabolism, to physiological gastrointestinal function and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, always within a pathway shared with the treating physician.

Cor.Con. International has rationally developed EuSide, a formulation based on ingredients with scientifically documented nutritional functions, designed as complementary support for people undergoing therapy with GLP-1 receptor agonist drugs.

Anyone following a therapy with GLP-1 agonist drugs knows a certain feeling well: the therapy works, the weight goes down, the goals finally seem within reach — and yet something doesn’t add up. Energy levels are no longer the same. After meals you can feel heavy, at times almost nauseous. The bowel is no longer as regular as before. And that underlying tiredness, which you expected would disappear along with the excess kilos, actually makes itself felt more often than expected.
It is not an isolated case. Those being treated with GLP-1 — semaglutide, tirzepatide and similar molecules — often find themselves dealing with a series of common and well-known side effects: occasional nausea, slowed digestion (a direct consequence of the mechanism of action of these drugs, which slows gastric emptying), drops in energy over the course of the day, bowel irregularity, and a micronutrient requirement that the reduced food intake — often a consequence of the strong reduction in appetite induced by the therapy — struggles to fully cover. Taken individually they seem negligible details. Added together, however, they can make the journey more tiring than necessary, and prompt people to look for a remedy in many different products, chosen one at a time for one complaint at a time: an approach that is rarely efficient when a more targeted alternative exists.
This is where EuSide comes from: a single formulation designed to accompany those being treated with GLP-1 agonist drugs, without replacing or interfering in any way with the therapy prescribed by their doctor.

Properties and Indications

EuSide represents a complementary nutritional support designed for people undergoing therapy with GLP-1 receptor agonist drugs, formulated to contribute to normal energy metabolism, to physiological gastrointestinal wellbeing and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue, and to make a dietary change pathway more sustainable, day after day. It is not a product assembled to include the greatest possible number of trendy ingredients, but a formulation built on the basis of scientific evidence. The result is a nutritional support targeted at digestive wellbeing, including the antinausea effect, and at maintaining energy levels, precisely at the moments when the body needs it most.
EuSide combines six ingredients with a complementary rationale of action, geared towards supporting digestive function and energy levels during this phase.
Magnesium is a cofactor of over three hundred enzymatic reactions, including those that use ATP as a substrate: it contributes to normal energy metabolism, to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to the normal functioning of the nervous system. In hypocaloric regimens its dietary intake is proportionally decreased.
Inulin is a soluble fibre fermented by the microbiota of the colon, where it generates short-chain fatty acids and supports saccharolytic bacterial populations. It contributes to the maintenance of normal intestinal function through an increase in the frequency of bowel movements, an aspect that is relevant in the presence of slowed transit.
Phytosomal Coenzyme Q10 (Ubiqsome®) takes part in electron transfer in the mitochondrial respiratory chain and in antioxidant action on lipid membranes. The phytosomal form, complexed with phospholipids, was developed to overcome the limited oral absorption of the native molecule.
Ginger (Zingiber officinale, rhizome extract), characterised by gingerols, supports digestive function and gastrointestinal motility, with an action on the elimination of intestinal gas and a documented contribution to counteracting nausea.
Vitamins B3 and B6 act as coenzymes in the oxidation-reduction reactions of oxidative metabolism (NAD/NADP) and in amino acid metabolism (pyridoxal-5-phosphate). They contribute to normal energy metabolism and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue.
The combination of these components constitutes a formulation built on scientific evidence and not on the accumulation of ingredients, with a rationale targeted at digestive wellbeing and at maintaining energy levels during phases of dietary change.
EuSide does not replace a varied and balanced diet but is designed to accompany, in a natural and complementary way, phases of dietary change and body weight management.
